Hey All,

 

Monday’s speed session on the bike was another quality session with the groups hitting top speed as they headed around the circuit at Tallebudgera .  Great work from all the squad that backed up from Sunday’s session of 6 to 9 hill reps of the 3km climb at Springbrook....that too was an awesome session for the squad as we continue to build a strong solid base!!!  There is still many of you who have not made it back to training.....hoping to catch you all on the weekend!!

 

Great track session on Tuesday great job to our lead group including Brad, Dan, Sophie & Laura as we stayed focused to finish 22 x 400’s on the 2 min cycle.  Great job to our Juniors Joel, Dimi, Pete, Will, Ella, Jasi, Shem, Noah as they hammer out every second 400 fast and onto every second 200 fast.   Good luck to Pete as he heads to State Cross Country in Cairns this Sunday!!  Go Pete.  It was a great Track session about 30 turned up to see if they could stay consistent, hold their pace, hold form and stay mentally tough throughout the session.  Next Tuesday’s session is the last of the base /pacing session....Yes come and test yourself  25 x 400’s on the track leaving on the 2min cycle....question is can you do it!!!  See you all there!

                                                                                                                                                                     

Well yep it’s been one of those really painful weeks of wet weather and darkness in the mornings and the evenings!!!  Turbo session on Wednesday turned out to be a great solid session from the squad as I watched the puddles of sweet get bigger under the turbo trainers.   Welcome to first timer Ruth- Ellen as she handled her initiation with a good solid hit out.  Good  job to Brett and John as they braved it out into the weather for the morning.   Please be reminded that on very wet cycle mornings (Monday & Wednesday)  the squad comes into the pool for a turbo session, the club has a number of wind-trainer’s available to club members...first in best dressed.  Bring your running shoes to finish off the training session.

 

Swim sessions are always the slowest to come back, we have had a good solid group of Roger, Brad, Erin, Diana, Margot, Jason, Alee, Noah and a few more starting to make their way back into the squad, hopefully next week will be the start for more of you!!

 

Thursday’s run session was great.....hill reps out at Ocean street, always a testing session....even better after we get back with coffee at the Nook!!!!!

 

See you all for the long run on Sat....looking to add the extra two Kms down and back at Miami beach this week!!!

                                    

Sunday’s bike session will take us to Terranora  - including 6 lovely climbs of Fraser drive .   Can’t wait to see you all!!!
